Sanford Wallace has agreed to stop distributing spyware

Jan 05 2005-Apparently, the much hated spamking, Sanford Wallace, has filed an agreement in US District Court in Concord, NH to stop distributing spyware.
A spokesman for the FTC said that users were infected with the spyware when they viewed certain banner ads, and that they used the spyware to load many popup windows, disabled computers and sometimes caused them to cease working, popped out the cd tray, and more to bully the pc users into buying spy software. Spy Wiper and Spy Deleter were two of the spyware products mentioned.
