Ashley Simpson Booed at halftime of Fedex Orange Bowl
Jan 04 2005-Okay, just sitting here watching USC make Oklahoma look bad in the National Championship game, mostly browsing the internet really. And then the halftime show comes on.
Not a big country fan, or a big Kelly Clarkson fan, or Ashley Simpson fan. They had trouble with the mic to start with and it seemed at really low levels the hole time, but, I finally figured out why when Ashley Simpson started singing. Reminded me of Roseanne doing the national anthem at that baseball game. She can't carry a tune in a bucket, looked all mechanical when she was dancing, well I assume she was trying to dance, but with the mic levels being so low, or whatever, it certainly helped.
Didn't make the crowd feel any better though, as they booed her pretty good at the end. Pretty funny. I know people will say that it was mean and they shouldn't behave like that, but, if you are going to get in front of thousands of live fans and millions on tv and want to be a star, well, when you are really bad, you should expect to be told you're really bad. If she was here I would've booed her, as a matter of fact....BOOOOOOO!
