Vista and Office 2007 to launch November 30

A Microsoft spokesman has confirmed the release date of Office 2007 and the business version of Windows Vista for November 30, 2006. This is a worldwide release so some countries, such as New Zealand and Australia, will actually get it a few hours before the US.

A Microsoft spokesperson has confirmed that the planned release dates for Vista and Office are indeed November 30 after all, fulfilling Microsoft?s promise of delivering Vista in 2006.

That said, the general consumer versions of Vista are still planned for a January 2007 release, with the rumored date of January 30 said to be on the verge of confirmation over the next few days. Source: iTWire

Exchange Server 2007 will also be released November 30, 2006, making this the first time in 10 years that all three products have had new releases at the same time.

An article from PCWorld says it be released a week earlier in Canada,

Microsoft will launch the products in Canada slightly earlier than in the U.S., the IDG News Service previously reported. According to the MSDN Canada site, Microsoft will hold New Day for Business events throughout Canada starting in Edmonton, Alberta, on November 23.

Following the Edmonton event, which will be held at the Shaw Conference Centre, Microsoft will hold events in Toronto on December 5, Montreal on December 7, Ottawa on December 12, and other cities throughout the country through January 2007. Source: PCWorld

I’m ready to check it out, but I know some of our customers will definitely not be deploying it for awhile.
