Gateway CEO Steps Down
Wayne Inouye, the CEO of Gateway computers, has turned in his resignation, they said to pursue other interests.
Rick Snyder, Gateway’s chairman and former company president, will serve as interim CEO until a permanent replacement is found, the company said. The sudden resignation of Inouye comes as the computer maker continues to lose market share to rivals such as Dell, despite his efforts to refocus the company on its PC roots. Source: News.com
Me, I never really liked Gateway computers, and it was mostly because they liked that big, jacked up 1500 key keyboard when they were first getting big. I haven’t tried one in years, so I can’t really say how good or bad they are nowadays, as I’ve mainly been exposed to Dell, IBM and HP computers.
